Dieter Grenner

I did not know Dieter had passed away until today. He was my host parent while I studied in Germany in 2015. For years I've been meaning to visit, to e-mail--I'll always regret not staying in touch. I remember his intellectual curiosity, his chuckle, and especially his kindness, especially to a not-always-gracious 16-year-old. I always missed the Grenners once I got back to the US, and offer my (belated) condolences to the family. I am so glad I got to meet and spend my time with him and all of his family while I was in Germany. Thank you Dieter and Heide-Rose for everything--please know that although I have not been in contact, I still think of you often and miss the year I spent with you.
